About The Position

Join the Enterprise Risk Management team to help drive smarter, risk-based decision-making across the organization. Reporting directly to the Head of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), you’ll work at a strategic level to identify and manage the company’s most critical risks, assessing potential threats and opportunities. It’s a dynamic, creative environment where you’ll connect big-picture insights, solve complex problems, and help build a strong risk-aware, enterprise-wide culture that supports eBay’s long-term strategy.

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of ERM team experience within a Big 4 consulting environment or a large-scale corporation is preferred.
  • Proven track record of translating high-level enterprise risk theory into actionable operational processes.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise risk frameworks (for example, COSO or ISO 31000), including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, reporting, and monitoring processes.
  • Hands-on experience with ERM and GRC tools, as well as strong proficiency with data and visualization tools (such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau) to analyze and present risk insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, build strong, trusted relationships across all levels of the organization, influence senior leaders’ risk decisions and trade-offs in a matrixed environment, even without direct people-management authority.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to simplify sophisticated, technical, and/or ambiguous risk concepts and present them in an accessible way, both verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences.
  • A growth mindset with high motivation and adaptability, including openness to coaching, willingness to learn new tools and methodologies, and the ability to navigate evolving business priorities in a hybrid, global environment.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead a consistent, enterprise-wide framework to identify, prioritize, and manage risk
  • Integrate fragmented risk activities into a unified approach, improving visibility and governance across the organization
  • Analyze risk interconnectivity to uncover insights that support more informed, risk-aware decision-making
  • Serve as a central forum for identifying, assessing, and managing enterprise risks across all business areas
  • Foster and work within a “think tank” environment that encourages innovative problem-solving and strategic risk discussions.
  • Partner cross-functionally (legal, compliance, strategy, finance, operations, technology, and people teams) to embed a strong, risk-aware culture that protects the business while optimizing opportunity
