Manager, Enterprise Phlebotomy Operations

Guardant Health
$101,235 - $139,230Remote

About The Position

The Manager, Enterprise Phlebotomy Operations, is responsible for leading Guardant’s enterprise mobile phlebotomy operations, including vendor management, patient navigation operations, workflow execution, and mobile phlebotomy financial performance. This role oversees nationwide mobile phlebotomy vendors and Patient Navigation Supervisors to ensure scalable, cost-effective, and high-quality patient access services. The position is accountable for operational performance, service delivery, mobile phlebotomy cost-of-goods (COGs) management, and continuous process improvement across the enterprise. This role partners cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, Medical Affairs, Customer Experience, Managed Care, Legal, and Operations leadership. This is a newly created role with the mandate to design and build Guardant’s enterprise mobile phlebotomy operating model — the vendor scorecards, cost tracking, reporting cadence, and standards that will scale the program nationwide. You’ll be establishing the systems and processes from the ground up, not stepping into an established playbook.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Operations, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare operations, vendor management, patient services, diagnostics operations, or related operational leadership roles.
  • Have personally built and owned a program’s cost-of-goods (COGs) tracking — the model, the forecast, and the variance analysis — not just reviewed reports prepared by Finance.
  • Have directly owned vendor relationships end-to-end — sourcing, contracting, onboarding, and pricing negotiation — not managed vendors that someone else selected and contracted.
  • Have built and used the scorecards, SLAs, and performance metrics that hold vendors accountable to quality standards.
  • Strong analytical, financial management, and operational reporting skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems, workflow platforms, and reporting tools such as Tableau or Excel preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing operational teams and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional environment.
  • Experience in healthcare, diagnostics, or mobile phlebotomy is a plus. We welcome candidates from adjacent healthcare or clinical services operations.
  • Demonstrate curiosity, sound judgment, and the ability to critically evaluate and responsibly leverage AI-enabled tools in accordance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of work.
