About The Position

About this Opportunity: As a Manager, Enterprise IT, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the architecture, reliability, automation, and continual improvement of all employee-facing systems across Orion and its affiliate companies. This includes Windows Server environments, identity and access systems, authentication services, internal productivity platforms, and cloud-enabled infrastructure. The Manager ensures a secure, stable, and efficient employee technology experience aligned with ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) standards. As we continue to evolve and live our Orion values, we are looking for someone to grow with us. For External Candidates: Candidates must work in-office at one of the following locations for at least 3 days per week: Omaha, NE.

Requirements

  • Has advanced expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, identity management, and networking
  • Has strong understanding of systems supporting internal users
  • Has proficiency with AWS services including IAM, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, and networking
  • Has strong Terraform experience including module development, state management, and automated deployments
  • Has proven ability to lead and develop technical teams
  • Has strong communication skills
  • Has advanced problem‑solving and organizational skills
  • Manages competing priorities
  • Has proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Has a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Has a minimum of 7 years of experience
  • Owns and manages relationships with stakeholders directly and works effectively with people at all levels in an organization

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and vision for the engineering teams supporting employee‑facing systems and platform services
  • Oversee the architecture, implementation, and lifecycle management of systems that directly support employees
  • Lead initiatives to evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies
  • Monitor health, performance, and capacity of employee-facing systems
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce best practices and operational standards
  • Manage patching, upgrades, and configuration management for Windows Servers
  • Supervise maintenance, after‑hours change windows, and incident response
  • Oversee troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for issues impacting employees
  • Lead administration and improvement of the company’s backup and recovery capabilities
  • Direct Windows-based disaster recovery planning and testing
  • Maintain detailed documentation
  • Collaborate with HR, Security, IT Support, and other departments
  • Manage vendor partnerships
  • Promote ongoing learning and development
