About The Position
The Enterprise Database Services Manager at UCSF leads a team responsible for the administration, performance, and security of all major enterprise database platforms, including Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Epic’s InterSystems IRIS. This position plays a key role in supporting UCSF’s clinical, academic, and research missions by ensuring database environments are reliable, secure, and compliant with institutional and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader who thrives in a complex, mission-driven environment, excels in cross-functional collaboration, and is committed to continuous service improvement and operational excellence. The Enterprise Database Services Manager will positively impact UCSF’s operations and culture by ensuring UCSF's enterprise level databases are operable, secure, efficient, and effective in service of the UCSF’s mission. This team member will advance the UCSF’s mission by delivering exceptional information technology services comprehensively and consistently across stakeholders.
