About The Position

The Manager, Enterprise Architecture and Interoperability provides strategic and operational leadership for enterprise architecture, solution architecture, and interoperability within the Digital Health portfolio. This role is responsible for translating organizational, operational, clinical, and digital health strategies into secure, resilient, interoperable, and sustainable technology solutions that balance current operational needs with future state direction. Acting as a senior technical authority, the Manager provides enterprise-wide architecture leadership for strategic initiatives while operating within established Digital Health governance and leadership structures.

Requirements

  • University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Health Informatics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in Information Technology; healthcare experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise architecture, interoperability, infrastructure, or complex technology initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, integration, interoperability, cloud environments, analytics, and healthcare information systems.
  • Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, APIs, data governance, and Artificial Intelligence concepts.
  • Strong leadership, communication, relationship management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Proven ability to attend work regularly as per the Attendance Support Policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ITIL, COBIT, Lean methodologies, and PMP or related certifications is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise and solution architecture practices, standards, principles, and reference models for assigned domains.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise technology roadmaps aligned with organizational and Digital Health strategy.
  • Provide architectural oversight related to data platforms, analytics, interoperability, HL7/FHIR standards, APIs, Artificial Intelligence, databases, cloud, hybrid, and vendor-hosted environments.
  • Identify modernization opportunities, technical debt, architectural risks, and sustainability considerations.
  • Provide technical guidance related to scalability, security, resiliency, operational supportability, and cost optimization.
  • Support vendor evaluations, business case development, and strategic technology planning.
  • Lead architecture governance processes including design reviews, technical approvals, and standards compliance.
  • Ensure architectural decisions, solution diagrams, integration models, and technical documentation are maintained and traceable.
  • Provide technical leadership for assigned initiatives by defining solution direction, managing technical risks and dependencies, and coordinating internal teams and external vendors.
  • Partner with Project Managers to support project delivery, financial oversight, reporting, and statement of work commitments.
  • Ensure solutions support clinical, operational, analytical, and organizational requirements.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and performance management for staff.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, staff development, conflict resolution, scheduling, attendance management, and employee engagement activities.
  • Foster collaborative relationships across Digital Health, clinical, and operational teams.
  • Participate in departmental operational planning, budget development, financial monitoring, and contract management activities.
  • Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Deliver and track assigned roadmap initiatives (i.e., HIMSS INFRAM).
  • Maintain awareness of emerging healthcare technologies, market trends, and evolving interoperability and Artificial Intelligence practices.
  • Collaborate with external healthcare organizations and industry partners to identify opportunities, leading practices, and innovation strategies.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, downtime leadership activities, and organizational emergency response requirements as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
