We are responsible for ensuring that Apple's software builds are available and usable for internal teams, while partnering with cross-functional teams to maintain build system health and optimize the efficient, effective delivery of software, mobile assets, and factory preloading processes. Requirements

  • BS/MS EE/CS/CE or equivalent
  • 5+ years of management experience with demonstrated success leading project management or technical operations teams
  • Strong background in software development, build systems, or release engineering
  • Proven track record of scaling teams and processes in fast-paced technology environments
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience managing teams involved in build and release engineering or release management
  • Deep understanding of software development lifecycle and project management methodologies
  • Unix programming/scripting experience and technical systems knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to develop talent and build inclusive, high-performing teams
  • Experience with process improvement and organizational transformation initiatives
  • Strong strategic thinking with ability to balance short-term execution with long-term vision
  • Track record of successful cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Engineering Project Managers and Engineering Program Specialists focused on build health, internal software availability, mobile assets, and factory asset delivery
  • Drive strategic planning and continuously improve processes for build health monitoring, internal software deployment availability, and asset delivery optimization
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline mobile asset delivery processes and factory asset preloading workflows
  • Ensure operational excellence through proactive system health monitoring, capacity planning, and performance optimization across all asset types
  • Foster innovation in tooling, automation, and process improvements to enhance engineering experience and asset delivery efficiency
  • Coordinate complex initiatives involving multiple engineering teams, factory operations, and mobile asset stakeholders
  • Develop team capabilities through coaching, performance management, and career development planning
  • Lead organizational change management during platform transitions and infrastructure modernization efforts
