About The Position

The Manager of Employer Partnerships & Career Pathways is responsible for developing and sustaining strategic employer partnerships that result in expanded career pathways and employment outcomes for neurodiverse students. Based on-campus, the Manager leads the development and expansion of intentional, high-impact employer and community partnerships throughout the region and across the nation that create meaningful pathways to internships, experiential learning, and early career outcomes for Beacon’s neurodiverse students. The Manager serves as a key connector across employers, faculty, and students, translating workforce needs into accessible, structured opportunities that support student success and long-term career outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in two (2) or more of the following: Higher Education – Working with college students to prepare them for post-graduate career opportunities; Employer Relations – Developing and sustaining relationships with employer partners and agencies to build opportunities for internships, externships, and employment; (optional) experience providing professional development support to those working with neurodivergent or diverse employees; Workforce Development – Identifying and securing experiential opportunities for students/graduates that result in an ecosystem of professional pathways for diverse learners; University Recruiting or early talent development – Representing employers or talent groups responsible for recruiting for internships or early talent programs

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Higher Education, Counseling, Business or related field.
  • Experience supporting or working with neurodiverse populations
  • Familiarity with career readiness frameworks (e.g. NACE competencies)

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage national, regional and local employer and community partnerships that align with Beacon College’s programs and student interests.
  • Develop sustainable relationships that create internships, experiential learning, and early career opportunities.
  • Represent the College in external settings to strengthen visibility and employer engagement, and maintain consistent communication with partners to understand talent needs and identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with faculty, academic leaders, and student support teams to align employer partnerships with curriculum and learning goals.
  • Support the integration of experiential learning within academic and co‑curricular programs.
  • Work with Career Advisors to prepare students for employer engagement and coordinate activities such as site visits, panels, and networking events.
  • Lead employer engagement for the annual Internships, Careers and Neurodiversity (ICAN) Career Fair, recruiting and supporting employers committed to inclusive hiring.
  • Develop year‑round engagement strategies beyond the event and ensure a high‑quality experience for both employers and students through strong preparation, communication, and follow‑up.
  • Serve as the primary manager of employer data within the College’s CRM, overseeing pipelines, engagement activity, and outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of employer contacts, partnerships, internships, and hiring results.
  • Use CRM insights to track trends, identify opportunities, and guide strategic decisions while coordinating with internal teams to ensure consistent data practices and effective system use.
  • Guide employers in implementing research-based inclusive hiring practices for neurodiverse talent.
  • Serve as a thought partner to organizations seeking to improve accessibility, onboarding, and retention of neurodiverse talent.
  • Develop employer-facing resources and programming that support successful engagement with Beacon students.
  • Track and analyze internship, employment, and employer‑engagement outcomes to inform strategy.
  • Create reports and dashboards for leadership and use data insights to strengthen partnerships, address gaps in student engagement and opportunity pipelines, and improve employer retention.
  • Support institutional reporting, accreditation, grant applications, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • All other duties as assigned.
