About The Position

The Engineering Manager Level 5 will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for sustaining engineering execution, manufacturing support, technical issue resolution, and cross functional coordination across development and production environments. This role requires a strong technical leader capable of driving execution through teams, improving organizational processes, partnering closely with Operations and Program Management, and balancing short term factory needs with long term engineering strategy. The ideal candidate combines technical depth, operational awareness, leadership maturity, and strong communication skills to lead complex initiatives across engineering and manufacturing organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop engineering teams supporting production, sustaining, and development activities
  • Drive execution of technical priorities across manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and program management organizations
  • Establish scalable processes for issue resolution, root cause analysis, testing, validation, and corrective actions
  • Support manufacturing yield improvement initiatives and operational efficiency efforts
  • Coordinate technical investigations and drive closure of complex field and factory issues
  • Manage engineering resource allocation, prioritization, and execution across multiple concurrent programs
  • Partner with Operations leadership to balance production needs, quality objectives, and engineering capacity
  • Lead cross functional reviews and communicate technical status, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership
  • Improve standardization of engineering workflows, documentation, testing methodologies, and requirements traceability
  • Mentor engineers and first line leaders while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Support organizational growth through process development, metrics, and scalable leadership practices
