About The Position

The Manager, Economics within Technology (OCIO) supports the Economics function within Global Technology by delivering financial analysis, economic modeling, and reporting insights across the technology portfolio. This role is hands-on and responsible for developing accurate, structured, and reliable analysis to support investment decisions, portfolio management, and financial transparency. The Manager works under the guidance of senior team members to translate financial and economic frameworks into detailed models and reporting that support leadership decision-making and governance requirements.

Requirements

  • ~3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, economic modeling, or technology finance within a large enterprise
  • Experience building and maintaining financial models with structured assumptions and basic scenario analysis
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to produce accurate and reliable outputs under tight timelines
  • Foundational knowledge of portfolio financial management and budgeting processes
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced, and hands-on environment
  • Proficiency in Excel / financial modeling tools

Nice To Haves

  • Accounting or finance-related education/designation is an asset
  • Exposure to technology portfolios (e.g., infrastructure, cloud, software) is an asset
  • Familiarity with financial governance, savings tracking, or value realization frameworks an asset

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial and economic models (e.g., ROI, TCO, NPV, scenario and sensitivity analysis, forecasts, budgets) to support technology investment decisions
  • Perform cost, productivity, and benefits analysis across Run-the-Bank (RTB) and Change-the-Bank (CTB) initiatives
  • Translate defined business drivers into structured financial models with clear assumptions, traceability, and documentation, while ensuring support of model validation, quality checks, and version control
  • Analyze technology spend, forecasts, and budgets to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
  • Support portfolio analysis through scenario modeling, what-if analysis, and comparative assessments
  • Work with Finance, Technology, and Procurement partners to gather inputs and ensure alignment of financial assumptions
  • Contribute to data consolidation and standardization efforts across portfolios
  • Prepare analysis, reporting materials, and presentations for senior stakeholders based on validated models
  • Consolidate inputs from multiple stakeholders into structured financial outputs with emphasis on accuracy and consistency
  • Support the development of dashboards and reporting artifacts for governance forums
  • Assist in communicating financial and economic insights in a clear and structured manner
  • Adhere to the Bank’s risk framework, internal controls, and compliance requirements in all activities
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and auditability of financial outputs
  • Contribute to a culture of discipline, continuous improvement, and collaboration
  • Support effective operations while aligning with organizational values, policies, and governance standards
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive team environment
