About The Position

NVIDIA is seeking a Manager of DSX Software Engineering and Controls to lead its DSX Software and DSX Controls and Monitoring teams in Santa Clara, California. The role focuses on developing software and operational technology (OT) control systems that improve efficiency and operational intelligence for AI factories. The manager will work with engineering teams, infrastructure partners, operations teams, and customers to deliver coordinated, production-ready capabilities. The manager will recruit and develop engineers, technical leads, and managers; direct the architecture and delivery of services, APIs, integration frameworks, automation, and tools; and guide telemetry, equipment interfaces, operational dashboards, alarms, and control capabilities across compute, electrical, and cooling infrastructure. The role also involves incorporating operational feedback, aligning roadmaps and standardizing IT and OT data sets with critical partners, and establishing release readiness through simulation, integration testing, and hardware validation.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years managing engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple technical workstreams and mentoring senior engineers, technical leads, or engineering managers.
  • Strong architecture background in distributed services, infrastructure software, telemetry platforms, or industrial automation.
  • Experience delivering software that integrates with physical infrastructure and understanding of timing, reliability, and failure handling.
  • Ability to evaluate system builds and review production code in languages such as Python, Go, or C++.
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex systems through collaboration across software, hardware, operations, and external partners.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data center electrical infrastructure, liquid cooling, building management systems, or supervisory controls.
  • Familiarity with equipment and telemetry interfaces such as BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, or Redfish.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, time-series data systems, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or equivalent experience.
  • Background in digital twins, simulation, commissioning, or hardware-in-the-loop validation.
  • A record of turning partner-specific integrations into reusable software products and deployment patterns.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the DSX Software and DSX Controls and Monitoring groups.
  • Recruit and develop engineers, technical leads, and managers.
  • Direct architecture and delivery of services, APIs, integration frameworks, automation, and tools that connect DSX components and support deployments and lifecycle management.
  • Guide development of telemetry collection, equipment interfaces, operational dashboards, alarms, and control capabilities across compute, electrical, and cooling infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with DSX operations teams to incorporate operational feedback into future builds.
  • Work with critical P0 partners to align product roadmaps and standardize IT and OT data sets to improve operations and efficiency.
  • Establish release readiness through simulation, integration testing, and hardware validation.
