  • Manager Distribution & Inventory - FT - Day - Supply Chain Trenton NJ

Responsibilities

  • Direct all distribution, warehouse, receiving, and logistics operations across the health system to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of medical supplies
  • Lead physical inventory counts, cycle counts and reconciliation processes to maintain inventory accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent stock-outs and minimize excess inventory
  • Oversee all receiving (inbound & outbound), storage, and distribution activities, ensuring proper documentation and system accuracy
  • Optimize warehouse layout and storage space based on demand and handle the logistics for facility projects, renovations and relocations
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all logistics activities to ensure consistency and efficiency across the system
  • Assign and manage designated storage areas for medical equipment and project-related materials
  • Maintain optimal inventory and PAR levels in partnership with clinical departments to prevent stock-outs while minimizing excess waste
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings and operational improvement
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and supply chain trends to identify cost savings and provide regular reporting to leadership
  • Manage direct-from-vendor deliveries and ensure all inbound and outbound shipments are processed with high system accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies
  • Mentor and develop a reliable team through active coaching, clear accountability and performance management
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for logistics, working closely with clinical and executive leadership to resolve issues and support new initiatives
  • Drive initiatives that enhance service levels and operational efficiency to better support patient care
  • Perform other duties as assigned
