Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent, plus previous clerical experience or dispatch experience or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
  • Organizational and administrative experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
  • Strong typing and clerical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to make decisions quickly and calmly in emergency situations.
  • Prior Mountain Operations Experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Must be able to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for resort communication objectives and initiatives.
  • Create and manage departmental goals, including budgets, capital projects, employee development, and other operational goals.
  • Build positive relationships with key stakeholders across the entire resort operations ecosystem.
  • Provide real time reporting, communication, direction, and procedural support in day to day operations.
  • Manage record keeping for operational needs; including Lift, Terrain, Event related, Guest related, and other operational reporting.
  • Maintain and budget for on mountain communication infrastructure.
  • Directs Day-to-Day work within Dispatch, including Security, Patrol, Lift Maintenance, Parking and Transportation, and all other Mtn Depts including snow reporting, and on-mountain night events function; organizes and delegates workload.
  • Enforces policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Provides training and guidance to staff.
  • Performs all tasks for which the work group is responsible, including a full range of dispatch work.
  • Controls the schedule, payroll and radio inventory.
