About The Position

This role exists to standardize the integration process for tuck-in acquisitions within a multi-brand HVAC and plumbing platform. The individual will lead integrations end-to-end, developing a repeatable playbook that includes checklists, timelines, owners, templates, and metrics for absorbing smaller contractors. This is a hands-on, builder-focused position.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in M&A integration, PMO, operations leadership, or consulting.
  • Personally led at least two M&A integrations from start to finish.
  • Direct experience in home services, skilled trades, or a similar multi-site, technician-driven business.
  • Understanding of dispatch boards, flat-rate pricing, and the importance of technician truck and pay plans.
  • Proven ability to create effective process documentation.
  • Comfort interacting with founders and family owners, demonstrating high empathy and candor.
  • Strong project management discipline.
  • Willingness to travel on short notice.

  • ServiceTitan implementation or migration experience.
  • Experience in a PE-backed roll-up or platform company.
  • Financial literacy to understand QoE, working capital adjustments, and synergy capture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead integrations directly from post-LOI through Day 100, coordinating with various departments (finance, HR, IT, marketing) and the acquiring brand's GM.
  • Develop comprehensive integration plans, including Day 1 readiness, 30/60/100-day milestones, decision logs, and risk registers.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for sellers and their leadership during the close and transition phases.
  • Design offers, communication strategies, and onboarding processes for acquired technicians and staff to maximize deal value.
  • Collaborate with HR on offer letters, benefits transition, pay plan mapping, and licensing.
  • Manage seller and key-employee transition agreements, earnout mechanics, and customer relationship handoffs.
  • Oversee the migration of systems including field service management (ServiceTitan or equivalent), ERP, payroll/HRIS, phones, and dispatch.
  • Convert customer lists, open jobs, warranties, service agreements, AR/AP, and price books without service interruption.
  • Coordinate licenses, permits, insurance, bonding, fleet registration, vendor accounts, leases, and utility transfers.
  • Manage the rebranding process, including fleet wraps, uniforms, signage, number porting, and online presence updates.
  • Protect inbound call volume and review equity during the rebranding process.
  • Codify the integration process into a documented, version-controlled playbook with checklists, RACI charts, standard timelines, templates, and a Day 1 kit.
  • Build an integration dashboard and scorecard, and conduct post-deal retrospectives.
  • Train brand GMs and future integration managers to execute integrations with decreasing central support.
  • Contribute operational diligence to the deal process, assessing technician roster quality, comp benchmarking, lead sources, membership health, fleet condition, and warranty exposure.
  • Provide integration cost and timing assumptions to the deal model to ensure realistic underwriting.
