About The Position

Under the supervision of the Vice President, Marketing & Engagement, this role supports the overall objectives of the Joni and Friends Marketing department. The Manager, Digital Experience will manage Joni and Friends websites and platforms, including the design/redesign of webpages and day-to-day content updates, ensuring a modern and accessible human-centered design. This role leads the Digital Experience team in the end-to-end management of events across digital platforms, in collaboration with Programs, USM, Data Analytics, and IT. Responsibilities include executing strategies for webpage structure, content, and accessibility, aligning with SEO goals, and optimizing internal web content and event submission processes for the Marketing team. The position also involves maintaining the Website Style Guide, adapting web designs for new channels, services, and devices, and managing the integration of fundraising, ecommerce, and digital marketing platforms. This includes managing the design, creation, and optimization of ministry fundraising and donation pages, integrating e-commerce platforms like WooCommerce, Sage Intacct, and Boomi, and managing platform integration and digital journey optimization in HubSpot. The role also involves designing and refining Salesforce Experience Cloud portal content, collaborating with internal teams and vendors on digital content updates, leading user experience design strategies, and developing/implementing strategies to enhance digital constituent journeys. The Manager will lead the team in conducting user research, managing the creation of prototype designs, conducting usability testing, and continuously measuring and optimizing design strategies through A/B testing and ideation. Monitoring analytics, optimizing engagement, developing benchmarks, tracking contributions, and communicating results to upper management are also key functions. Additionally, the role includes coaching and developing the Digital Experience team, providing strategic direction, mentorship, identifying training needs, and fostering a positive team environment. Other duties and projects as assigned by the supervisor are also part of this role.

Requirements

  • Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni and Friends statement of faith
  • Desire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian service ministry
  • 7+ years of website and digital platform management experience required
  • 4+ years leading a team
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Skilled in web and digital marketing tools including WordPress, GA4, Salesforce Nonprofit, GoFundMe Pro, HubSpot, Sage Intacct, Boomi, and Asana
  • Good interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize a wide range of daily tasks with varied deadlines
  • Must be detail-oriented, committed to accuracy, and team player who is flexible and able to work independently
  • Must have a strong sense of confidentiality
  • Proven leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
  • Experience in leading projects, guiding teams through challenges, and making critical decisions
  • Must be available to work in the Agoura Hills office

Responsibilities

  • Manage Joni and Friends websites and platforms

  • Lead team in conducting user research to identify and analyze user pain points and behaviors
  • Manage the creation of prototype designs and conduct usability testing to ensure effectiveness
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to continuously measure and optimize design strategies; employ ideation techniques to generate innovative solutions
  • Monitor analytics and optimize engagement across platforms
  • Lead team in the development of benchmarks and impact measurement
  • Track contributions, sales, and engagement by source and provide analysis to upper management
  • Lead teams in A/B testing to increase conversions and revenue
  • Communicate results and optimization recommendations to upper management
  • Coach and develop the Digital Experience team
  • Provide clear, strategic direction and mentorship to team members and contract staff to achieve ministry goals
  • Identify training needs and create development plans to nurture team member strengths and improve skills
  • Promote a positive and collaborative team environment within the team and across divisions
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor to support department and organizational needs
