Requirements

  • Requires Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and 60 months of progressive, post-bachelor's experience in a related occupation.
  • Experience must include 60 months involving the following: IICS; Oracle, Teradata, DB2, MS SQL, and Hive; Autosys and Control M; Shell Scripting; Toad, Nexus Query Chameleon, Remedy, Service Now, Jira, GitHub, Splunk, Putty; Talend; Cloud Data Platforms including Google Big Query, GCS bucket and Data Proc, or Snowflake; and Python Scripting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and support large-scale and complex ETL and distributed Big Data applications.
  • Work with platform architects to ensure technical integrity and consistency of solutions.
  • Proactively detect, troubleshoot, and resolve all issues affecting production applications relating to developmental and external team coordination.
  • Provide clear, concise, and timely communication to affected parties during the investigation and resolution of any individual or system-wide outages.
  • Ensure and carry out the Change Management hygiene for all changes propagated to production from a support and Steady State transition standpoint.
  • Assist development teams in application development to ensure new systems or projects meet the Production Readiness standards.
  • Work with business stakeholders to educate and navigate them through the Schwab Technology Services (STS) standards and policies for new projects, or enhancements to existing investments.
  • Efficiently navigate and support Incident and Change Management process with an end- to-end understanding of the system flows and technology landscape.
  • Constantly update knowledge repository and ensure seamless availability and accessibility of information regarding support related activities or issues.
  • Service all requests for data or other activities that require access to Production systems.
