About The Position

Ellucian Company LLC has an opening for a full-time Manager - Data Architecture, Data & Analytics Office in Reston, VA. Duties are to lead and manage a team of data architects responsible for designing and implementing enterprise data solutions across platforms like Snowflake, Informatica, and dbt. Define and evolve Ellucian’s enterprise data architecture strategy, standards, and governance frameworks to support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives. Oversee the development of scalable data models, pipelines, and integration patterns that support structured and semi-structured data sources. Partner cross-functionally with business, product, and technology teams to align data architecture with strategic goals and enable self-service analytics and predictive insights. Ensure data platform scalability, performance, and compliance with data governance, lineage, and security standards. Provide architectural leadership for data visualization and embedded analytics solutions using Tableau, Power BI, and other tools. Stay current on emerging trends in cloud data architecture, data mesh, generative AI, and modern data governance technologies. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Minimum of a bachelor’s or its foreign equivalent in Info Systems, Info. Management, Computer Science, or Info. Technology or closely related discipline.
60 months’ experience in enterprise data architecture, data engineering, or BI development, with at least 2 years in leadership or managerial role.
3 years' experience with cloud-native data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift or Databricks) and modern data stack tools (e.g., Informatica, dbt, Airflow etc.).
3 years' experience in translating technical architecture into business value.
3 years' experience with enterprise business systems such as Salesforce, Gainsight, and ServiceNow.
3 years' experience in building scalable, governed, and future-ready data platforms.
3 years' experience in stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences.
