About The Position

CIBC US Data and Analytics department is responsible for supporting risk stripes and Lines of Business (LoB) through data management, modelling, analytics, process automation and reporting, to grow and accomplish overall bank strategy. Manager, Data and Analytics is responsible for providing analytics support to Capital Markets business lines. This involves working with multiple stakeholders on data analysis, process engineering for automated workflows, BI reporting, advanced analytics that drives decision making, and Generative AI solutions. The candidate is expected to lead and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards; comfortable presenting to stakeholders at all levels, and staying current with AI technology developments. The candidate is also expected to be coach and mentor junior team members, providing guidance, support, and knowledge sharing. Position requires a Master degree in quantitative fields.

Requirements

  • Master degree in quantitative fields.
  • 3 years of experience with Python (Programming Language).
  • 3 years of experience with SQL for database querying and data manipulation.
  • 3 years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • 2 years of experience with cloud-based data solutions using Azure Databricks.
  • Expert interpersonal, communication (oral and written) and problem-solving skills, including effective engagement with all levels of the organization, including senior management, board of directors and regulators.
  • Proven leadership and management experience, with a track record of successfully leading Compliance teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with LLM and AI agent frameworks is a plus.
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, Flask or FastAPI is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Providing analytics support to Capital Markets business lines.
  • Working with multiple stakeholders on data analysis, process engineering for automated workflows, BI reporting, advanced analytics that drives decision making, and Generative AI solutions.
  • Leading and managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Presenting to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Staying current with AI technology developments.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior team members, providing guidance, support, and knowledge sharing.
  • Meeting with clients to understand their priorities, advise them on solutions, and provide a forward-looking financial plan.
  • Using knowledge of cash management, credit, investment, and wealth protection to help clients meet their goals.
  • Becoming a technology expert and sharing knowledge by introducing clients to mobile banking applications.
  • Building and executing communication strategies in support of key business initiatives that impact TI&I team members, partners and CIBC clients.
  • Working closely with the SEVP and Group Head, TI&I and her senior leadership team to develop and execute communication strategies and plans that foster a solid understanding of TI&I’s purpose-driven mandate to run, protect and transform the bank.
