The Manager, Data Analytics is responsible for executing business objectives with data and ensuring alignment with the company's vision. This role involves organizing technology, processes, and financial resources to meet current and future analytics needs. The incumbent provides thought leadership and acts as a subject matter expert in recommending analytical approaches and methodologies. This position offers management responsibility for data-driven insights that inform the business's strategic direction. The role requires the individual to live and work remotely within the greater Baltimore/Washington metropolitan area, with periodic travel to a CareFirst location for meetings, training, and other business activities. The primary responsibility is to manage a team supporting analytics, reporting, and data governance for Member Identification/Stratification (ID/STRAT), Attribution/Program Assignment, Data Extracts/Sharing, Population Health Management, Predictive Modeling, and Program Evaluation. Additionally, the role will support AI implementations, partnerships with IT/Data Management teams, vendor support (e.g., Milliman MedInsights), and related functions. The ideal candidate will have experience in these domains, as well as in building and managing high-performing analytics teams that deliver work consistently and transparently to internal and external business partners. Prior healthcare analytics experience is mandatory; generalists with IT backgrounds and certifications like Scrum or Agile will not meet the needs of this role.
