About The Position

This role is responsible for managing a team of business analysts to meet or exceed customer requirements and business objectives. The position involves monitoring and directing workflow to ensure timely and accurate processing, serving as a subject matter expert, and training new employees. The role requires interfacing with clients and customers to answer inquiries and resolve concerns, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing controls to monitor performance. Additionally, it supports departmental management by providing trending and performance data, and may participate in full life cycle development. The position develops and documents workflow, systems requirements, and designs using software development methodology to provide efficient solutions. It utilizes SQL Queries, data warehouse, and internal databases to prepare user-friendly reports and participates in projects supporting process improvements and system integrations. The role assumes additional responsibilities in the absence of the Manager/Director and is responsible for the direction and oversight of reporting and analytics, developing and managing critical reports, and providing analysis to support strategic decision-making. It ensures strategic objectives are met by providing necessary information to various functional areas, works with end users to understand reporting requirements, monitors critical metrics, and collaborates with other analytics teams. The role ensures resources work to their maximum potential to meet reporting requirements and deadlines, and leads programming and analysis as needed, requiring knowledge of programming, data mining, application development, and data analysis. It also provides guidance and mentoring to staff and works with business owners to set priorities. The role serves as the primary focal point across business areas to lead the development and management of internal/external reporting, including estimates of feasibility, time, and effort, and provides updates. It monitors projects, identifies potential problems, and guides them to completion. The role directs the development of tactical and strategic plans, leads standardization of data processes, and focuses on the strategic vision for products. It leads changes and enhancements to business processes, policies, and system infrastructure, including project management, and directs business process re-engineering. Finally, it builds a strong local reporting and analytics team through formal meetings, training, coaching, and mentoring.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree ideally in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Computer Science or related degree.
  • 5+ years of direct, relevant experience.
  • May consider candidates without a Bachelor's degree who have an additional 4 years of direct experience for a total of 9 years minimum.
  • Expert level knowledge of SQL, Qlikview, Tableau or similar business intelligence tools
  • MS Suite power user with expertise in visualization tools.
  • Required experience in a production environment setting up processes to be maintainable and scalable.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work with diverse groups of internal clients while maintaining high degrees of accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to think creatively; highly-driven and self-motivated.
  • Ability to drive results and deliver on multiple tasks.
  • Experience building, developing and managing high-performing teams.
  • Proven track record of defining and executing key analysis with minimal supervision

Responsibilities
