This is a hybrid 12-month contract role in Toronto. The position exhibits advanced analytical capabilities to evaluate data and develop Power BI dashboards. It involves articulating business questions clearly by outlining the fundamental business case and assessing the potential value to be generated. The role identifies relevant trends and patterns to address essential business concerns and provides actionable insights through storytelling and data visualization techniques. It engages collaboratively with data and analytics teams to improve, automate, and scale analyses into standardized analytic frameworks and decision support systems. The role builds various reporting dashboards using the most appropriate data extraction, data cleaning, and data visualization techniques. It provides value through insights, reporting, and data visualization techniques. The role selects, configures, and implements analytics solutions for consistency and repeatability. It researches and applies continuous improvement in data visualization by identifying trends and patterns to transform raw data into actionable business insights. The role works with different teams, management, and stakeholders to enhance the usability and aesthetic appeal of data analytics solutions deployed in the organization. It translates business needs to technical specifications and evaluates existing data visualization systems in order to improve them. The role develops data visualizations of "large" amounts of data that facilitate the intuitive presentation of data to decision makers. It documents data flow, systems, and processes to improve the design, implementation, and management of business/group processes. The role develops tools and delivers training programs for the use of reporting tools and self-serve analytics by non-analytical end users; this may include delivery of training to audiences. The focus is primarily on a business/group within BMO; however, it may have a broader, enterprise-wide focus. It provides specialized consulting, analytical, and technical support. The role exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules. It works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations. Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
