Trans Mountain Corporation operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast. Trans Mountain is seeking a collaborative, motivated, and integrity-driven individual to join our team as Manager, Cyber Security. This role leads the enterprise Cyber Security Program across Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) environments, driving cyber risk reduction, security maturity, and regulatory compliance. The position provides leadership for cyber security governance, risk management, compliance, security operations, and security awareness while ensuring alignment with business priorities and organizational objectives.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in Information technology, computing science or computer engineering, or related discipline.
• A minimum of 10 years progressive experience, with at least 3+ years in a people management or senior supervisory role with accountability for team performance and delivery.
• Experience with ServiceNow and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of project delivery methodologies and frameworks.
• Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning, testing, and execution.
• A supportive and collaborative leader with strong people management skills, who values mentoring and coaching to build high-performing teams, communicates with empathy and clarity in challenging situations, and adapts with agility as business needs evolve.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of the Cyber Security Program across IT and OT environments, ensuring alignment with leadership expectations. Drive execution of the cyber security roadmap, strengthen security capabilities, enhance program maturity, reduce organizational risk, and support incident response and recovery capabilities.
• Translate cyber risk into clear business language for leadership. Guide program priorities based on the threat landscape, regulatory requirements, enterprise risk appetite, and business objectives.
• Lead the Cyber Security team, including Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) and Security Operations functions. Establish clear priorities, expectations, and outcomes; develop, coach, and mentor team members; drive performance, workforce planning, succession planning, and professional growth; foster a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement; and ensure effective coordination across employees, contractors, managed service providers, and strategic partners.
• Lead the delivery of Cyber Security capital initiatives in partnership with Project Managers and business stakeholders. Own scope, prioritization, and alignment of cyber investments with risk reduction objectives. Ensure investments deliver sustainable security capabilities and controls that transition effectively into operations.
• Maintain and optimize Cyber Security governance, including policies, standards, controls, and compliance frameworks. Ensure regulatory, legal, and corporate requirements are incorporated into the compliance program and effectively managed through monitoring, reporting, audits, assessments, training, and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure effective, risk-based, and business-aligned delivery of Threat Risk Assessments (TRAs), Third-Party Risk Assessments (TPRAs), security reviews, and governance processes, balancing speed, consistency, quality, and business needs.
• Enhance the Cyber Security Compliance Program to ensure alignment with all regulatory and legal requirements, and establish accountability for control owners to understand, maintain, and execute their responsibilities effectively.
• Lead Cyber Security Operations, including threat detection, monitoring, vulnerability management, cyber incident response, threat intelligence, and operational resilience. Provide trusted advice and actionable insights to leadership regarding cyber readiness, emerging threats, and security investments.
• Lead and continuously enhance the Cyber Security Awareness and Training Program to strengthen security culture, improve employee awareness, and reduce organizational risk.
• Establish, monitor, and report on Cyber Security key performance indicators (KPIs), key risk indicators (KRIs), operational metrics, and executive dashboards that provide meaningful insight into program effectiveness, cyber risk exposure, regulatory compliance, and overall security maturity.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Network, Modernization and Applications teams to ensure secure, reliable, and seamless technology services for employees and contractors.
• Manage operational budgets, resource planning, asset inventories, and technology lifecycle initiatives to ensure effective stewardship of company resources.
