About The Position

The Manager, Customer and Vendor Master Operations is a global role within the Supply Chain Services capability, providing operational leadership and systems enablement to Global Supply Chain. Sitting within Supply Chain & Operations (SC&O) Systems, this role owns the integrity, governance, and performance of customer and vendor master data and related operational processes that underpin planning, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution. This position plays a critical role in ensuring scalable, compliant, and efficient supply chain operations by aligning customer and vendor master operations with enterprise systems, controls, and transformation priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in master data operations, customer or vendor data management, shared services, supply chain, procurement, commercial operations, finance operations, or enterprise systems within a global organization.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or governing customer and/or vendor master data and related processes in enterprise systems such as SAP or another ERP platform.
  • Strong understanding of customer and vendor master data and its impact on order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, supply chain, tax, finance, and regulatory processes.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional, global stakeholders, manage operational priorities, and influence without direct authority.
  • Experience improving standardized workflows, service delivery, data controls, and performance metrics in a regulated environment.
  • English required; additional languages preferred in a global role.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or advanced degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Information Systems, or Data Management.
  • Experience supporting customer and vendor master data transformations, ERP implementations, or SAP S/4HANA Business Partner and Customer-Vendor Integration initiatives.
  • Prior people management or matrix leadership experience in a global setting.
  • Familiarity with medical device, life science, or similarly regulated industries.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and change management skills.
  • SAP MDG, data management, process improvement, supply chain, or project management certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global Customer and Vendor Master Operations for Supply Chain, ensuring accurate, complete, timely, and policy-compliant creation and governance of customer and vendor records across SC&O systems.
  • Own and continuously improve end-to-end customer and vendor master data processes, including request intake, validation, approval, creation, change, blocking, deactivation, and duplicate prevention that support supply chain execution and reporting.
  • Partner with Commercial, Procurement, Finance, Global Supply Chain, Finance, IT, and Shared Services to translate align master data design with operational and business requirements into standardized customer and vendor data processes and rules.
  • Serve as a key systems leader for customer and vendor master capabilities in ERP and adjacent systems, supporting enhancements, integrations, data migrations, testing, and transformation initiatives.
  • Maintain governance, controls, segregation-of-duties requirements, standard operating procedures, and evidence needed to support audit readiness, privacy, compliance, and regulatory obligations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a global team and/or matrixed resources, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
  • Monitor service levels, throughput, backlog, performance, and data quality metrics; address root causes and escalate complex customer or vendor master issues that affect business operations.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise and decision support for customer and vendor master initiatives, including data standardization, process harmonization, automation, and lifecycle governance.
