This role provides independent oversight for the Credit Union’s lending activities to ensure the individual credit decisions are consistent with established risk appetite and standards. This role delivers a rigorous “second line” review by leading a team of credit professionals responsible for challenging risk ratings, review and approve highly complex transactions and oversee the remediation and rehabilitation of problem credits. Through strong credit governance, disciplined portfolio surveillance, and an embedded culture of constructive challenge and collaboration, the role supports sustainable balance sheet growth while safeguarding asset quality and long-term credit performance.
