About The Position

The Manager, Corporate Office Operations is responsible for the overall performance, experience, and operational management of Staples Canada’s Corporate Head Office. This role ensures the office environment is operationally efficient, aligned to hybrid workplace strategies, well-maintained, and supportive of employee experience and corporate culture. The role leads facilities operations, move management, workplace planning, and event execution in close collaboration with Internal Communications, HR, and external vendors.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in business, facilities management, or related field preferred
  • 4-6 years in corporate facilities or workplace operations
  • 2–3 years leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of corporate facilities operations, workplace services, and space planning.
  • Experience with move management, event coordination, and vendor oversight.
  • Effective leadership and coaching skills with a service‑focused mindset.
  • Strong communication, organization, and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally with HR, Internal Communications, IT, and vendors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic workplace/facilities management tools.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and security protocols for office environments.
  • Detail‑oriented, proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast‑paced, hybrid workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall operations and employee experience of Staples Canada’s Corporate Head Office, ensuring a well run, welcoming, and efficient workplace.
  • Oversee day to day building and facilities operations, including maintenance, janitorial standards, vendor performance, and service delivery.
  • Drive space planning and office move management, maintaining seating plans, coordinating moves, and partnering with HR and Executive Assistants on onboarding and team changes.
  • Coordinate and support major corporate events and town halls, collaborating with Internal Communications and HR to ensure seamless execution.
  • Manage key workplace vendors and service contracts, defining service standards, monitoring performance, and supporting sourcing and RFP activities.
  • Oversee core office operations, including supplies, inventory, mailroom services, and document retention/shredding programs.
  • Ensure safety, security, and compliance across the head office, including access control, visitor management, and emergency protocols.
