Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in accounting, preferably 3 or more years public accounting
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting, operations, account analysis, and management reporting
  • Excellent understanding of business operations and linkage to accounting in order to initiate and support process improvements and documentation of standard operating procedures
  • Solid analytical skills and ability to understand and resolve complex problems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Great organizational skills and be able to handle complicated work efficiently and effectively
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative, ask questions, detect problems and provide solutions
  • Ability to multi-task and efficiently manage time across competing activities/resources and manage projects/processes under tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze data and problem solve
  • Must be a team player with strong work ethic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Specific experience Workday system is a plus
  • CPA preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining books and records of the Company’s management company and general partner entities
  • Manage the offshore team and review daily accounting activities to ensure the timely and accuracy of accounting records
  • Assist in the preparation of journal entries by analyzing fund-level transactions and operational company activities
  • Review general ledger detail and prepare comprehensive flux analysis to identify key variances
  • Prepare detailed workpapers to support financial statement close and reporting process
  • Prepare and provide support for the preparation of the Company’s internal and external filings, including preparing analyses, reviewing disclosures and providing feedback on suggested edits
  • Assist in development and maintenance of consistent accounting policies
  • Assist in reviewing existing processes for automation and improvement opportunities
  • Maintain a strong internal control environment, including documenting internal control processes, and compliance with regulatory literature
