About The Position

Centric Brands is looking for a dynamic, creative and resourceful Manager of Corporate Accounting to join its team. This individual must be a self-starter and team player who takes initiative, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited about joining a team on a journey to accelerate transformation across Centric Brands. The Corporate Accounting Manager will be detail oriented and assist in preparing month end close, balance sheet account reconciliations and overseeing the general ledger accounting daily operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as Accounting Manager or other similar position
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; CPA preferred
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations
  • Strong knowledge of Excel
  • Experience with SAP, and Lease Query a plus
  • Familiarity with lease accounting under ASC 842
  • Must show accountability, be a team player and operate with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work with a high volume of transactions and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
  • Forward-looking thinker who can articulate the need for and implement process improvements

Responsibilities

  • Assist with month end close preparation to ensure timeliness and accuracy of journal entries and deliverables.
  • Prepare and review monthly journal entries including expense accruals, prepaids, deposits, capital expenditures, intercompany transactions, FX/CTA, debt interest, corporate and divisional cost allocations.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations including proper supporting documentation, variance and flux analysis, and timely checklist completion.
  • Identify accountings areas for process improvements, streamlining and automation.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, schedules and footnotes in accordance with GAAP.
  • Assist and coordinate with internal and external audit requests, tax consultants, and other service providers with PBC request.
  • Partner with FP&A in preparation of the monthly and quarterly forecasting for Depreciation & Amortization and ROU Assets & Liabilities.
  • Work cross functionally with various business partners (FPA, IT, Legal, AP, HR, Payroll, Tax, Treasury and IT) on processes, policies, key system improvements and initiatives.
  • Help manage and maintain lease portal (Lease Query) in compliance with lease accounting standards (ASC 842), facilities and related allocations, analysis, and rent loader/statement review and approval.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to assigned staff with day-to-day operations, complex and technical accounting tasks and issues, as well as personal and professional growth.
