The Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Contracts within the Short and Medium Range Ground Based Air Defense (SMGBAD) area. In this role, the selected candidate will directly support a munitions Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. This IDIQ covers both domestic, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and Foreign Military Funding (FMF) efforts. The Manager, Contracts position will report to a Senior Contracts Manager. This role demands a multi-faceted Manager, Contracts to solve complex challenges with creative solutions. The candidate’s attributes should include experience with Department of War (DoW) contracts, IDIQs, terms and conditions, and risk assessments throughout execution. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to interface seamlessly with internal and external customers in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years’ prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' prior relevant experience
  • Experience with United States Government Contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and/or the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.​ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple Deliver Orders under a large DoW IDIQ for Production of munitions
  • Identify, mitigate, and resolve execution and contractual issues as they may arise
  • Provide contractual guidance to the execution team
  • Some travel as required domestically for in-person customer meetings (approximately once per quarter)
