Raytheon has an opening for a Manager, Contracts in the Strategic Initiatives portfolio within the Air Power strategic business unit. In this job, you will be responsible for the leadership, management, and administration of a broad portfolio of contracts on the StormBreaker® Programs. This role will support the various phases of the program lifecycle which may include development, sustainment, integration and Foreign Military Sales (FMS). Responsibilities include working closely with the Contracts Lead, Program Directors, Senior Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Proposal Manager, Business/Estimating and Supply Chain to construct, submit and negotiate pricing proposals; providing support to senior management regarding contractual and business issues; ensuring that negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies; advising management of contractual rights and obligations and possible mitigation of contractual/program risks; examining and understanding cost structure estimates of labor, material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Finance, Supply Chain, Subcontracts, Procurement, Acquisitions, Contracts, and/or Global Trade
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.​
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Responsibilities

  • Analyze Request for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Conduct proposal reviews and coordination
  • Negotiate contracts (may include commercial Terms and Conditions)
  • Review estimate at completion (EAC)
  • Support program management and execution reviews
  • Provide general contract administration support
  • Provide guidance to senior management regarding contractual and business issues
  • Ensure that negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies
  • Advise management of contractual rights and obligations and possible mitigation of contractual/program risks
