This role participates in the development and fulfillment of contract requirements in the purchase or sale/delivery of equipment, materials, products or services. It evaluates contract compliance and advises others on contractual rights and obligations. It also prepares bids or requests for proposals (RFPs), including specifications and requirements, and negotiates contract terms. This is an office-based position located in St. Petersburg, FL.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Has any type of one direct report or more
  • Problem solving is guided by policies and procedures; receives guidance and oversight from manager
  • Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment
  • Has a strong understanding of the contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or relevant degree preferred
  • NCMA Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) preferred
  • Government contracts experience preferred
  • Prior financial management or CAM experience
  • Prior Program/Project management experience

Responsibilities

  • Supervises all activities in the organization's contracts administration function.
  • Oversees the preparation and administration of bids, proposals, negotiations, and contracts that follow company policies and legal requirements.
  • Supervises the contracts administration staff and guides compliance with complex contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversees and develops policies and processes that govern the contract administration staff and provides guidance on contract terms and the assessment of contract proposals.
  • Drives negotiations with suppliers, partners, or customers.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & Senior Leadership.
  • Supervises the daily activities of support staff or production team members.
  • Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors.
