About The Position

The Manager Contract Administration and Supplier Performance is accountable for Contract Administration and Vendor Performance. This role oversees Contract Managers and Analysts. The primary purpose of this position is to lead within and across team functions to (i) manage pre-qualification of vendors/suppliers (ii) ensure timely and quality execution of supplier contracts for services and material; (iii) maintain proper administration and execution of those contracts throughout their lifecycle, and (iv) implement/manage Supplier Performance Management (SPM) programs, which includes the aggregation of data from numerous sources, the presentation to vendors of their performance, and reaching consensus on steps to improve gaps. This position is also responsible for assisting in the resolution of supplier related grievances.

Requirements

  • BS/BA Degree
  • 5-7 years of experience of Contract administration
  • 2-3 years in construction
  • Savvy business judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external contacts
  • Strong Interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop integrated, creative solutions
  • Negotiation skills
  • Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 is required

Nice To Haves

  • 2-3 years of experience with Supplier Management
  • Advanced degree (JD and/or MBA preferred)
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma
  • Knowledge of Utility Operations
  • Experience with: SAP; Ariba; CLM; SharePoint; McLaren and PowerAdvocate
