About The Position

This position supports our Center of Excellence and leads a team of Implementation Specialists responsible for supporting new stores throughout North America. A manager, Construction inspires cross functional team(s), leads through change by sharing the organization's vision and aligns the team's work to ensure achievement of the strategic growth objectives with an emphasis on results.

Requirements

  • 5+ years managing and developing teams, 3+ within construction
  • 5+ years managing construction permits and approvals for the development process
  • 8+ years planning and budgeting
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in a role performing project management job functions for construction projects including: vendor management, bidding, negotiations and budgeting

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage team assignments, keeping in mind individual development and strengths, team dynamics, balanced schedule, and business needs.
  • Leverage the synergy of teams working cooperatively and collaboratively to drive the organization's success, ensuring projects are staffed with the appropriate resources and skill sets to achieve regional objectives.
  • Delegate and ensure clarity of responsibilities, decision rights, accountabilities and outcomes.
  • Set annual strategy and construction departmental goals, monitors progress, and communicates monthly, proactively anticipating and managing department outcomes.
  • Implement construction policies and procedures throughout the department and ensures they are in compliance throughout the team.
  • Supervise the recruiting, hiring, training, and development of the team and support administrative partners throughout the function, identifying and developing talent to meet the current and future needs of the region.
  • Establish regional priorities to support the growth and management of new stores.
  • Lead team to work collaboratively with construction general contractors, facilities, real estate, and design to generate successful construction methodologies, systems, procedures that lead to optimal outcomes in time, cost and quality of work.
  • Determine how financial objectives will be achieved through proactive management of the portfolios.
  • Use partner insights, customer feedback, and historical data/experience to guide Construction Standards at the support center, ensuring consistent, functional standards and methods.
  • Oversees the performance of financial and business analysis to develop, evaluate, and recommend projects and new stores in coordination with Real Estate, Operations, Facilities, and Finance.
  • Build and lead the Construction & Design CoE Training Academy, creating scalable learning programs that build capability across project delivery, sourcing, design, construction, governance, and business systems while establishing a consistent "one best way of working" across the organization.
  • Develop and manage a network of subject matter experts, facilitators, and business leaders, coordinating curriculum, presenters, learning events, job aids, office hours, and knowledge resources to ensure high-quality training content and broad organizational adoption.
  • Own Training Academy performance and continuous improvement, using training metrics, learner feedback, audit findings, operational risks, and recurring process issues to identify capability gaps and rapidly deploy targeted training, communications, and support programs.
