About The Position

A key part of the Great-West Lifeco Global Compliance team, this role supports the AVP Global Compliance and Compliance Directors to manage the planning and execution of efforts to continuously improve the Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) program, and support the embeddedness of assigned compliance practices, programs, processes, and policies across the organisation.

Requirements

  • Strong relationship builder who seeks out and collaborates with others for efficiency, improved outcomes, and calibrated results.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to synthesize and tailor information for different audiences.
  • Agile professional that can manage shifting priorities.
  • Goal oriented problem solver with strong decision-making skills.
  • 5+ years of relevant Compliance experience.
  • Solid written, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong data capabilities and experience leveraging AI tools (e.g. Copilot) in everyday tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant designations/certifications/licenses are an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and champion assigned RCM framework elements (may include reporting, issues management, regulatory change management, testing, and risk assessments) and other business-as-usual activities that support the framework.
  • Manage the ongoing maintenance of methodologies, governance, and process enhancements related to the above.
  • Support the Compliance leadership on key strategic initiatives as assigned.
  • Support/manage the preparation of quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc reporting on the framework elements assigned to this role.
  • Lead and coordinate working groups and user forums related to assigned framework elements.
  • Support the enhancement and maintenance of Teams/SharePoint sites.
  • Develop, maintain, report on key metrics and program risk function indicators.
  • Manage the execution of assigned business-as-usual activities that support the RCM Framework.
  • Build and maintain positive, effective working relationships.
