About The Position

Terreva Renewables is an industry-leading developer, owner, and operator of renewable natural gas (RNG) projects, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. The company leverages technology to capture methane gas from landfills and convert it to renewable natural gas. Its senior management team has over 40 years of collective experience developing RNG projects, as well as extensive additional experience in landfill gas-to-electricity projects, gas collection and control systems, and midstream oil and gas operations. Terreva’s current portfolio is comprised of seven assets – approximately 20,000 scfm of raw landfill gas flow and 3.5 million MMBtu’s per year of RNG production (2025E) – in operation and construction across North America. Terreva is a portfolio company under the management of CIM Group, LLC. The Manager, Commercial Operations is responsible for managing Terreva’s renewable natural gas (RNG) sales contracts and ongoing fulfillment of all contractual obligations; ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory and voluntary renewable energy programs, including associated registration, certification, reporting, and environmental attribute requirements; and managing and optimizing the monetization of environmental attributes or other commodities to maximize the value of Terreva’s RNG portfolio. The Manager of Comm Ops will collaborate closely with Terreva’s Development, Finance, and Operations teams, as well as external stakeholders, to ensure effective execution of commercial obligations and clear visibility into key commercial, operational, and asset-performance metrics. The Manager of Comm Ops will also work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to identify, evaluate, and execute Terreva’s entry into new markets and revenue opportunities that diversify the company’s commercial activities and enhance the value of its RNG portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 2 years professional experience working in investment banking or private equity, focusing on infrastructure and/or equity investment experience.
  • Strong Excel skills, including financial modeling, data analysis, and automation.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, with the ability to create business presentations summarizing complex or large sets of data.
  • Ability to think or learn to think in terms of supply and demand.
  • Good grasp of the nuances of the renewable energy industry; familiarity with carbon accounting, RFS/LCFS programs, renewable gas standards, and renewable gas voluntary attributes a plus.
  • Ability to write clearly, and effectively, presenting complex information accurately and appropriately for the intended audience.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance concepts.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex information, financial statements, and legal documents.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to solve practical problems, regardless of the level of complexity.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and work effectively with team members often spread across multiple geographies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead work with internal and external parties to verify and document RNG production in order to generate renewable identification numbers (RINs) and renewable thermal credits (RTCs) to meet quality assurance requirements on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure Terreva compliance with all regulatory and voluntary reporting frameworks related to clean fuels and carbon accounting in North America (and other markets as required).
  • Manage Terreva’s presence and activity on various environmental attribute tracking platforms (e.g. EPA Moderated Transaction System (EMTS), M-RETS, PJM GATS, etc.).
  • Optimize all offtake contracts to ensure monthly, quarterly, and yearly delivery requirements are being met, and present to management team on a monthly basis.
  • Lead engagement with third parties and provide all necessary data to verify that production meets applicable tax credit requirements.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the environmental attribute markets and regulatory requirements, and work directly with third parties to ensure that attribute generation occurs in accordance with existing contracts.
  • Monetize all available RINs and other commodities as required by engaging directly with market participants on a monthly basis.
  • Work closely with CCO on: offtake summary modeling and internal reporting; evaluation and modeling of CNG business opportunities; cultivating alternative revenue opportunities such as CO2; preparation of internal management and Board presentations; CI score calculation and certification for each project.
  • Work with Terreva’s Origination team to research new opportunities, prioritize targets, engage with gas rights counterparties, and position Terreva offerings to secure deals.
  • Support Terreva Development team with general commercial activities.
  • Perform market research and build relationships with external experts to recommend Terreva expansion into new feedstock and product offtake markets.
  • Lead acquisition of required certifications and credentials for expansion into recommended new markets.
