This role is for a Manager in the Clinical Lab, responsible for operational and fiscal management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and participating in bench testing as needed. Requirements

  • Current and Valid State License if the laboratory is located in a state where required
  • ASCP certification, or equivalent, required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical, biological science, or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution, or other educational requirements as stated in CLIA (42 CFR 493.1489)
  • Five years of hospital laboratory work experience required
  • 2 Years of Laboratory Supervisory Experience required

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the operational and fiscal management of the clinical laboratory and pathology, in accordance with established hospital and department policies and standards.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements mandated by appropriate State and Federal accrediting and licensing agencies.
  • Special projects or other assignments may be given with expectations to be completed in a specified timeframe.
  • Must be prepared to participate in bench testing as departments needs require.
  • Perform routine laboratory testing to support the department as needed.
