The Clean Energy Transportation (CET) group is focused on accelerating the adoption of clean vehicles in California. CET leads a portfolio of transportation electrification (TE) programs to increase the adoption of clean vehicles in California. They serve PG&E’s customers by deploying electric vehicle programs to increase access to charging infrastructure and reduce total cost of electric vehicle ownership, educating customers and pursuing innovative R&D on the future of transportation electrification, focused on vehicle-grid-integration (VGI). The CET group focuses on safety and quality, invests in team success, solves problems, strives to be better, works as an integrated team, and builds trusted relationships. They collaborate and are intellectually curious, seeking passionate, thoughtful people who want to make a real impact in driving the transition to clean energy transportation. The CET’s Strategy and Policy (S&P) team creates, tests, and advocates for evidence-based clean energy transportation solutions by spearheading pilot projects, policy frameworks, tailored customer offerings, and stakeholder engagement. The team develops, iterates, and executes on PG&E’s strategy to connect 3 million electric vehicles (EV) to the grid by 2030 and enabling at least 550 MW of flexible load from VGI applications. The S&P team focuses on five pillars: Build (reimagining grid infrastructure for EV adoption), Deploy (strategizing VGI at scale), Invest (ensuring charging infrastructure targets are met and developing programs for all communities), Serve (serving EV customers to build trust), and Create (enabling widespread electrification via partnerships and policy advocacy). The S&P Manager will lead a team focused on regulatory and policy advocacy and new program development for CET. They will set and iterate on the strategic direction for electric vehicles within PG&E, serving as the lead for PG&E’s EV True North Strategy (TNS). A successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, be a self-starter and quick learner, and consider industry trends, the regulatory and policy environment, financial impacts, and customer needs when developing and executing strategic initiatives.
