About The Position

Function Health is seeking a highly connected and commercially minded Manager of Channel Partnerships to expand its presence across the employer benefits ecosystem. This individual will be responsible for building and deepening relationships with leading benefits consultants, brokers, channel partners, and healthcare ecosystem partners to accelerate Function’s Enterprise growth. The role involves serving as a key external ambassador, developing trusted relationships with influential partners, and positioning Function as a differentiated health benefit for employers and their employees. This is a relationship-driven role requiring deep familiarity with the employee benefits landscape and an established understanding of how leading consulting and brokerage firms operate. The ideal candidate will have built meaningful relationships across firms such as Aon, Mercer, WTW, and other leading benefits consultants and brokers, understands how these organizations influence employer purchasing decisions, and knows how to turn relationships into commercial opportunities. The role will partner closely with Enterprise leadership and the Sales organization to develop new channels, support strategic partner deals, generate pipeline, and expand Function’s reach. This role will require up to 50% travel across the United States.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in channel partnerships, business development, strategic partnerships, or enterprise sales within the employee benefits, healthcare, digital health, or wellness ecosystem.
  • Deep Benefits Industry Experience: A strong understanding of how employers evaluate and purchase health and benefits solutions.
  • Broker & Consultant Relationships: Established relationships with leading benefits consultants and brokers, ideally including experience working with organizations such as Aon, Mercer, WTW, and other major national or regional firms.
  • Channel Partnership Experience: Demonstrated experience developing relationships with channel partners and turning those relationships into measurable pipeline, revenue, or commercial outcomes.
  • Commercial Orientation: Strong understanding of B2B sales motions and the ability to connect partnership directly to new business opportunities and membership growth.
  • Relationship Builder: Exceptional ability to establish credibility and develop trusted, long-term relationships with senior external stakeholders. Understands that success in the benefits industry is built through consistent, authentic relationship development.
  • Executive Presence: Strong communicator who can confidently represent Function Health with senior consultants, brokers, partners, employers, and industry leaders.
  • Hunter Mentality: Comfortable proactively identifying and pursuing new relationships rather than relying solely on an established network or inbound opportunities.
  • Strategic & Hands-On: Able to develop a broader channel strategy while remaining highly execution-oriented—personally making introductions, conducting outreach, attending meetings, and moving opportunities forward.
  • Cross-Functional Operator: Proven ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Marketing, Product, Legal, and leadership teams to execute complex partnership opportunities.
  • Mission Alignment: Deep curiosity about Function Health and a genuine passion for transforming how people understand and manage their health.
  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% across the United States for broker and consultant meetings, partner development, conferences, and other industry events.
