About The Position

As Manager, Category Lead - Plastics & Tin, you will be globally responsible for Mars Snacking category strategies for rigid plastics and tins. You will partner closely with Sourcing Managers, who execute the strategy and sourcing approach you define. The role is accountable for key global strategic supplier relationships and developing the cost-reduction pipeline for the next five years. It involves significant collaboration with a wide range of cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of procurement experience.
• Ability to create and deliver global category strategies.
• Passion for developing cross-functional and supplier relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree at a minimum.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the long-term global category strategy, translating it into an annual sourcing plan for regional sourcing teams to execute.
• Deliver category goals for cost, cash, resilience, quality, innovation, and sustainability.
• Serve as the primary business partner for internal stakeholders.
• Lead strategic relationship management for key suppliers to drive innovation and development.
• Use market intelligence to identify and lead high-priority, transformational initiatives that shape the category’s future direction and success.
• Develop the cost-reduction pipeline for the next five years.
