About The Position

This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned staff. Key areas of responsibility include hiring, training, supervision, staffing, staff performance evaluations, and staff, department, and hospital performance improvement activities. Managers also provide case management as needed, meeting the case manager job duties and responsibilities, including assessment, reassessment, care coordination, and discharge planning activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Master's degree in Social Work or related field
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong PC skills, including Word, Excel and Email
• Supervisory experience
• Focus on customer service
• Candidates/Incumbents meeting the Nurse requirement, licensed to practice nursing in the state of Florida
• Candidates/Incumbents meeting the Social Work requirement, require a clinical social worker licensure in the state of Florida within 6 months of hire or transfer into the position
• Candidates/incumbents meeting the related field requirement, require a license within their master’s specified education area, if applicable
• Professional certification within two years of hire (effective January 1, 2015, for new hires)
• 1-2 years of Supervisory experience
• 3-5 years of Utilization management, case management and/or discharge planning experience
• Experience in a hospital setting
