About The Position

We advocate the preservation of human dignity in the delivery of our services and programs. The Manager of Cardiopulmonary Services reports directly to the Hospital's Chief Operating Officer (COO). Main duties will be to lead, plan, organize, implement, and direct, along with problem solving, and interactions with other departments and medical staff for the entire program and service line. This Manager will need to ensure that services provided [Respiratory Care, Cardiology, Ventilator Care] meet external and internal customer needs. Most important will need to develop both operating and capital budgets with input from administration, staff and physicians. Responsible for assuring appropriate management practices, maintenance of appropriate staffing levels, competency assessment, staff orientation, ongoing education and development. Promotes and maintains effective relationships and communication with team members, organizational leadership, and medical staff members. Serves as a role model for the program. Mentors and guides the team.

Requirements

  • 2 Years Technical or Associate Degree
  • Minimum 2-3 years Manager/ Supervisory experience in an acute care setting
  • At least 2-3 years as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in an acute care setting preferred
  • Current RCP license from the State of California Respiratory Care Board
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, MAB and NRP
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • EMR experience preferred
  • Strong Computer knowledge required with experience in Excel, Microsoft word

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate of an AMA approved school of Respiratory Therapy preferred.
  • Bachelor’s in Respiratory Therapy preferred
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Related Field preferred
  • RRT license preferred
  • Intubation experience or certification preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish or Chinese preferred
