About The Position

The Ministry of Mental Health and Addiction is transforming Alberta’s health system to the Alberta Recovery Model, which adopts a recovery-oriented approach for addiction and mental health. The Ministry of Mental Health and Addiction is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of Albertans by strengthening a mental health and addiction system built on compassion, practicality, and recovery. The ministry leads province‑wide efforts to help people find the right support at the right time, whether that means prevention, treatment, or ongoing recovery. By setting clear system direction and overseeing policy, funding, and capital investments, the ministry works hand‑in‑hand with Recovery Alberta, the Canadian Centre of Recovery Excellence, community organizations, and Indigenous partners to deliver services that matter. Current priorities include expanding access to care, advancing compassionate intervention, improving services for children and youth, strengthening culturally responsive Indigenous supports, and using data and evidence to drive continuous improvement. Together, this work helps create healthier individuals, stronger families, and safer, more resilient communities across Alberta. The Ministry of Mental, Health and Addictions is looking for two dynamic Managers to join their team in supporting the Ministry. The Manager Capital Projects leads a team that is responsible for implementation of capital initiatives in support of ministry and Government of Alberta (GoA) goals and priorities for the addiction and mental health system. Responsibilities focus on delivering approved capital projects, typically led by Alberta Infrastructure, from planning phase to construction and subsequently to hand-over to operations.
