About The Position

The Corporate Treasury team performs all global treasury activities for Mastercard, including capital planning, rating agency relationships, foreign exchange risk management, cash management/positioning, pensions asset-liability management, capital markets transactions (debt issuance, equity share buy-back), credit facility management, intercompany funding. We are seeking a highly motivated Manager to join the Debt Capital Markets team within Corporate Treasury. This position will be based in Purchase, NY. Reporting to the Director, Capital Markets and Investments, this Manager role will be responsible for the execution of Mastercard’s corporate capital markets strategy including bond offerings and share repurchases, support our credit facility renewal, manage key relationships with banks, and partner with other areas of Treasury.

Requirements

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; experienced with MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Knowledge of key accounting concepts and SEC disclosure requirements
  • Ability to prioritize work; manage projects in addition to day-to-day responsibilities
  • Written and oral English language proficiency; strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Treasury Management Systems (Reval) and DCM tools/portals (Equiniti, Bloomberg, Workspace) desirable
  • Prior corporate treasury or capital markets experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Managing the Debt Capital Markets (DCM) function for Mastercard in the management of the company’s debt profile (funding plan for new debt issuance and managing outstanding debt)
  • Manage the company’s $8 billion credit facility, including extensions/renewals
  • Manage banking relationships, including counterparty wallet analysis, coordination of relationship meetings, and preparation of relationship summaries
  • Manage interest expense forecast and budget process including detailed variance analysis
  • Manage share buy-back forecast and execution, including broker performance analysis
  • Prepare managerial reports and analysis related to Mastercard’s debt portfolio
  • Oversee debt and share buy-back related SEC disclosure preparation (e.g.,10Q and 10K footnotes)
  • Manage operations related to outstanding debt and other DCM activities, including coupon payments, dividend calculation and payments and other related processes
  • Execute internal controls and support controllers and auditors in their processes
  • Manage Mastercard’s commercial paper program, including dealer communications, issuance execution, and related reporting
  • Work on improving existing DCM processes, models and controls
  • Provide analytical support for special projects across other corporate treasury teams
