About The Position

BDO is seeking a Manager to join their Canadian Tax Services practice in Winnipeg. This role involves leading client engagements for a diverse range of clients, identifying and implementing tax strategies, preparing and reviewing tax returns, and building strong client relationships. The Manager will also be responsible for communicating progress to team members and training staff.

Requirements

  • Completed CPA designation
  • 5 years’ experience in public accounting with a specialization in Tax for a minimum of 2 years
  • Extensive understanding of relevant tax legislation, corporate, personal and trust tax planning and compliance
  • Value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work
  • Display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead client engagements for a wide variety of clients across industries and organizational sizes
  • Identify, develop, and implement strategies for clients to capitalize on business and tax opportunities
  • Prepare and review tax reorganizations and review corporate, trust, and estate tax returns
  • Build positive working relationships with clients
  • Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis
  • Engage in training staff and invest in the professional development of your team
