The Manager, Business Systems is a senior individual contributor responsible for supporting, improving, and expanding the applications that power our business. Reporting directly to the VP, Technology, this role partners closely with business leaders and subject matter experts to evaluate new software solutions, optimize our current application ecosystem, and ensure our systems evolve in support of business growth. You will oversee our key enterprise platforms and act as a central coordinator between business teams, vendors, system integrators, solution implementers, and consulting partners. This role leads system enhancements, upgrades, and implementations, ensuring projects are well planned, well executed, and aligned with operational needs. This is a role for a strong business-technology generalist who can confidently move across systems, functions, and vendors to deliver technology solutions that enable the business.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in IT Business Systems or Solution Delivery
  • Deep functional experience implementing and enhancing several of the following: ERP (e.g., NetSuite, Infor, Dynamics, SAP, Epicor, JDE), CRM (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot), WMS/TMS (Supply Chain), or PIM (e.g. Inriver, Salsify, Plytix) and Commerce platforms (e.g. Salesforce, Shopify)
  • A versatile business-technology generalist background with a proven track record leading complex, multi-vendor implementations and coordinating matrixed teams and partners.
  • A collaborative, business-focused mindset—skilled at partnering with teams, solving problems, and driving meaningful system improvements.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills; comfortable engaging business leaders and SMEs and influencing decisions to move initiatives forward.
  • High levels of proactivity, organization, and comfort with ambiguity; a structured thinker who evaluates options, recommends solutions, and supports execution.
  • Strong project management capabilities (Agile or hybrid), with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Solid vendor and partner management experience, including working with consultants and system integrators across full delivery lifecycles.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key technology partner to business leaders and SMEs across Operations, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Customer Service.
  • Lead requirements gathering, capability assessments, use-case discovery, and solution evaluation.
  • Assess current systems for optimization opportunities and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and value.
  • Support software selection processes, including RFPs, demos, and vendor assessments.
  • Oversee performance, configuration, and functional alignment of core applications such as ERP, CRM, WMS, TMS, PIM, and eCommerce platforms.
  • Maintain documentation including configuration details, workflows, data flows, and system inventories.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize processes and improve system usability and adoption.
  • Act as the primary liaison with software vendors, consultants, system integrators, and solution providers.
  • Manage support escalations, enhancement requests, and service quality to ensure outcomes meet expectations.
  • Contribute to SoWs, project plans, and vendor roadmaps to ensure alignment with business priorities.
  • Lead or co-lead system upgrades, module deployments, new feature implementations, and major enhancements.
  • Coordinate with implementation partners to ensure clear requirements, effective testing, and smooth cutovers.
  • Manage UAT, training coordination, change management, and adoption support to ensure strong business readiness.
  • Identify process and system improvements that enhance reliability, scalability, and business value.
  • Support the VP, Technology in shaping the application roadmap and prioritizing initiatives.
  • Promote best practices in release management, system governance, and operational readiness.
