About The Position

Contributes to the overall success of Scotia iTRADE in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. This role plays a central role in portfolio performance management, including dynamic forecasting, annual planning, monthly business performance analysis, portfolio cost and expense re allocation, and review of monthly and quarterly results for the Direct Investing business. It also partners closely with Product Management by delivering actionable insights on campaign performance, revenue sizing for new initiatives, and analysis of the financial impact of potential pricing or product changes. The role supports and manages strategic initiatives and ad hoc projects in collaboration with Finance, Analytics, Retail channel partners, and external stakeholders, leveraging a disciplined, quantitative, and data driven approach. It monitors, assesses, and evaluates portfolio trends and KPIs, providing ongoing insights to track performance against annual portfolio growth targets. The role prepares clear, executive ready analyses and materials to support business reviews, investment decisions, and senior leadership discussions. It ensures strong data integrity, governance, and controllership, adhering to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and established processes. It champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. The role understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. It actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. Requirements

  • University degree in Business, Commerce, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science/Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience in sales analytics, performance management, forecasting, or planning within financial services.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
  • Working experience with SAS, SQL, and other analytical or data tools.
