About The Position

Horizon Next is a data-driven marketing organization focused on accelerating client growth through brand strategy, media planning, and analytics. The Manager, Business Intelligence will be responsible for increasing the use of data throughout Horizon Next by creating scalable data products and solutions, and driving education and adoption of these products across the organization. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen, with a focus on building processes, automation, and tooling to support data-informed decision-making.

Requirements

Background in or knowledge of the media, advertising, or direct-response industries.
Background in data or analytics with a focus on building processes, automation, and tooling.
Experience working with non-technical users to define business requirements & KPIs and translate them into code.
Comfortable bridging the gap between business needs and technical implementation.
Enjoy creating reusable, automatable, production-quality processes that can scale.
Strong background in SQL with attention to code readability & reusability.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics or related field.
3-5 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or a similar field.
2-3 years of experience in media, advertising, or similar industry.
3-4 years using SQL in a work environment.
Experience with a cloud data warehouse like Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake.
1-2 years managing and mentoring junior team members.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Git or a similar version control system.
Experience with Python or a similar programming language.
Experience with Presto, Hive, or Spark SQL.
Experience with BI or dashboard tools like Tableau, Looker, or Domo.
Experience with dbt (data build tool).

Responsibilities

Develop and enhance the data and analytics capabilities of Horizon Next, including data modeling and reporting efforts to ensure data accessibility.
Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to improve existing data & analytics processes and develop new capabilities.
Identify opportunities to enhance Horizon Next’s data and analytics infrastructure.
Act as a liaison between the Analytics team and other internal teams regarding data sources, access, and reporting.
Educate non-technical team members on data products and their effective use in decision-making.
Work with clients to understand their data and establish meaningful KPIs for media campaigns.
Manage and mentor Business Intelligence Analysts and Senior Analysts, providing guidance on best practices and project oversight.
Enhance the skills of the Business Intelligence team through the implementation of new processes and tools.
