About The Position

The Manager, Business Development, leads strategic initiatives to drive business growth by cultivating and maintaining key internal and external relationships. This role directs sales strategies, manages critical accounts, and ensures alignment with procurement and contractual standards. Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years in business development, sales, or marketplace operations, with success in managing pipelines and onboarding sellers, including cross-border recruitment.
  • Strategic thinking, sales and negotiation, relationship management, project coordination, and clear communication.
  • Strong data fluency and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
  • Cultural intelligence to tailor strategies to regional market dynamics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or related field and 2 years' experience in business development, market development, product development, or related area OR 4 years' experience in business development, market development, product development, or related area.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in eCommerce or retail marketplaces, and familiarity with Walmart Fulfillment Services, Walmart Connect, SEM, Salesforce, HubSpot, and Looker.
  • Spanish fluency is a plus.
  • Sales, Supervisory experience

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage a pipeline of marketplace sellers and brands
  • Guide sellers through onboarding, educate on Seller Center, item setup, shipping, operational tools
  • Drive sales and category expansion by identifying in-demand assortment, optimizing seller performance
  • Build and maintain relationships with key external partners, including trade associations, vendors, and service providers
  • Collaborate with sellers to define launch plans, initial sales strategies
  • Represent Walmart at industry events and promote platform
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless seller experience and platform improvements
