The Business Development Manager – Digital Solutions will be responsible for driving commercial adoption and account development of Hamilton Medical’s Digital Solutions portfolio in the U.S. market. This role owns the sales cycle from opportunity identification through procurement and serves as the primary interface with hospital leadership, IT, and biomedical engineering teams to enable successful deployment. Preferred locations include: Chicago, IL; Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX. Candidates with experience primarily or exclusively in standalone capital medical device sales, without software deployment, integration, or adoption responsibilities, will not meet the requirements for this role.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to identify opportunities and influence stakeholders across complex healthcare organizations.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. hospital sales cycles, procurement processes, and IT approval pathways.
  • Demonstrated success managing long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work remotely and travel as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience selling software or digital clinical solutions (e.g., SaaS, medical software, clinical decision support systems) that require integration into hospital workflows and IT environments required.
  • Experience supporting customers through deployment planning, onboarding, and post-sale adoption of digital solutions required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in business development, strategic sales, or account management within healthcare required.
  • Demonstrated experience selling into U.S. hospital systems or integrated delivery networks (IDNs) required.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving clinical, administrative, and executive decision-makers required.
  • Experience operating in matrixed, cross-functional organizations, collaborating with product, clinical, regulatory, and implementation teams required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting early-stage or newly introduced solutions in the U.S. market preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new opportunities for Digital Solutions within hospitals, health systems, and integrated delivery networks (IDNs)
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with key decision-makers, including clinical leadership, hospital administration, IT, procurement, and biomedical engineering.
  • Map account stakeholders and decision-making processes to develop effective account strategies.
  • Align Digital Solutions’ clinical and economic value with institutional priorities and customer needs.
  • Drive and manage hospital procurement processes, including pricing discussions, contracting, and internal approvals.
  • Coordinate internal resources (sales leadership, legal, regulatory, product, IT, and clinical teams) to support deal execution.
  • Maintain accurate territory planning, opportunity forecasting, and pipeline management.
  • Act as the commercial owner of the IT deployment process for Digital Solutions
  • Coordinate with hospital IT departments and biomedical engineering teams to support technical evaluation and deployment readiness.
  • Drive IT demand generation by clearly articulating Digital Solutions’ technical architecture, cybersecurity posture, and integration requirements.
  • Support planning and execution of deployment milestones in close collaboration with Clinical Implementation Specialists.
  • Partner closely with Clinical Implementation Specialists to ensure a seamless handoff from sale to clinical implementation.
  • Communicate market trends, customer insights, and deployment learnings to internal stakeholders.
  • Represent Hamilton Medical’s values and customer-focused culture in all interactions.
