About The Position

This role offers the opportunity to lead growth initiatives within the Snack category, working closely with customers, brands, and retailers to bring innovative solutions to market. The Business Development Manager will leverage technical expertise, market insights, and strategic relationships to accelerate category growth and deliver value-added solutions. This position requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, collaborating across commercial, marketing, and technical teams to drive business objectives. You will act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing credible insights and showcasing solutions that address taste, nutrition, sustainability, and consumer needs. Requirements

  • BS/MS/PhD in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline
  • Strong technical background in snack applications and flavor development
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial B2B food and beverage or private label industry
  • Proven track record of leading customer-facing technical engagements
  • Ability to manage and drive complex projects across multiple business functions
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration capabilities, with a customer-centric mindset

Responsibilities

  • Drive growth in the Snack category by leveraging market knowledge, industry insights, and customer relationships
  • Champion the application of foundational technologies to create layered, value-added solutions
  • Collaborate with leadership, commercial sales, and technical teams to execute strategic initiatives
  • Act as the customer advocate internally, ensuring their needs inform strategy, demos, troubleshooting, and solution development
  • Identify innovation opportunities aligned with market trends and customer feedback
  • Develop business cases for new solutions that support category growth objectives
  • Partner with marketing and technology teams to communicate value effectively and ensure seamless execution of growth initiatives
  • Monitor performance and use data-driven insights to guide decision-making and measure impact
