About The Position

Airgas is hiring for a Branch Manager in Amarillo, TX! The Branch Manager is responsible for advancing sales growth in retail stores, offering expert advice to discover ways to add extra value for customers, and delivering an effortless sales experience in retail stores. This role involves building and maintaining customer relationships, providing excellent service, assisting customers with product selection and technical support, processing orders accurately, and coordinating timely product delivery. The Branch Manager will also monitor inventory levels, ensure adequate stock, prepare sales reports, analyze performance metrics, nurture customer relationships, and build alignment when addressing inquiries to provide exceptional customer service. Additionally, the role includes maintaining store operations, supporting merchandising efforts, and supporting, guiding, and developing direct reports in alignment with organizational policies and applicable laws. The Branch Manager will also travel to the plant location to collaborate with and support the Distribution Manager and drivers there.

Requirements

At least 2 years of prior demonstrated management or leadership experience in a customer facing environment
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and occasionally up to 125 lbs. with the aid of material handling equipment
Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
Ability to operate a forklift and become certified
Proficient computer skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
Ability to work independently
Good communication skills (verbal and written)

Nice To Haves

3+ years’ experience in the welding or safety industry
5+ years’ experience in sales with proven success
1 year experience with SAP and Power BI
2 years of experience in sales and/or distribution or similar industrial products
