Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five years of related experience in a box office environment, including ticket sales, general office, accounting, budgeting, personnel, marketing, and supervision
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret data and support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work independently and work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains event setups within ticketing software for campus events, ensuring accuracy in event details, seating, pricing, and ticket types.
  • Oversees ticket sales and distribution channels, including online, in-person, and group sales.
  • Manages customer service for ticketing inquiries, purchases, and event information.
  • Monitors real-time ticket inventory and ensure timely reporting of sales and attendance data.
  • Reconciles financial transactions and ensures proper cash handling procedures.
  • Trains and supervises ticket office staff and student workers.
  • Analyzes sales and attendance patterns to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Resolves ticketing issues and provides solutions for customers and stakeholders.
  • Ensures compliance with university, local, and state regulations regarding ticketing operations.
  • Manages ticket office resources including ticketing platforms, websites, software, and hardware.
  • Coordinates promotional efforts including discounts, packages, and special offers for events.
  • Prepares and distributes regular reports for university leadership and event stakeholders.
  • Acts as representative of Campus Operations and as valued member of TSU as part of the A&M system and performs other duties as assigned.
